The Child Jesus College of Nursing is a highly reputed minority Institution that provides Nursing Education in a Christian atmosphere and in sound value system for deserving students who are economically weak, socially backward and needy. Child Jesus College prepares the young women as dedicated Nurses to serve both in the hospital set-up and in the rural & urban community.
The Child Jesus College of Nursing which was started in 2006 with G.O.(MS) No.235. Our college is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and recognized by The Tamil Nadu Nurses & Midwives Council, Chennai and by the Indian Nursing Council at New Delhi, offers the degree course in B.Sc. Nursing for 4 years & DGNM course for 3 years.
The School of Nursing, Child Jesus Hospital (G.O.M.S.No.1929 dated 01.11.1966) was started in 1952 as the Midwifery training School. This was replaced by the ANM Course in 1964. In 1966 General Nursing and Midwifery Course was started. We have completed SIXTY FRUITFUL DIAMOND YEARS OF NURSING EUCATION and celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of the School of Nursing in February 2013. We thank God for this Marvellous deeds and blessings, on our Institution. Child Jesus College of Nursing offers Two Courses (only for Female Candidates)
1. Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (DGNM) - 3 years (Annual intake 20 seats)
2. Basic B.Sc. Nursing - 4 years (Annual intake 50 seats – Management 25 & Government 25)
We have our own Hospital, 200 bedded hospital with all the facilities & specialities.
We have hostel with all the facilities including the Mess.
Our College, Hospital & Hostel are in the same campus.
